Remember dearly departed power forward Carlos Boozer, now with the Utah Jazz? According to Celtics coach Doc Rivers, the Cavaliers might have gotten the better end of the deal. ''Drew Gooden is a better rebounder than Carlos Boozer because of his activity,'' Rivers said. ''Drew is more active. He's a Dennis Rodman-type rebounder. He goes and gets the ball. ''Booz has the size. He blocks out and gets the ball. (His size) negates the (lack of) speed. I don't know what's more important at that position. It's great when you find both. That's Karl Malone.'' Gooden, a 6-foot-10, 242-pounder, had 25 points and 10 rebounds on Monday during the Cavaliers' hard-fought 95-88 victory over Boston. ''Drew Gooden was out of this world,'' Cavaliers coach Paul Silas said. He's been very impressive during the Cavaliers' 5-1 preseason. He's averaging 13 points, is leading the NBA in rebounding at 11.2 and is shooting 52 percent from the field (26-of-50). ''I loved coaching him (in Orlando),'' Rivers said. ''He plays with great spirit. He's wild. He has great energy. I like that in him. He got frustrated when we put him at the 3 spot.'' (continued here)
